Miami is vibrant. I love my city. And I love the water that tinges the air with salt. The beach is only a bridge away. And I can get to Biscayne Bay with a fifteen minute walk.
The bay is a diverse ecosystem. I’ve seen manatee, tarpon, dolphin, mullet, jacks, and a variety of little fish all from the bay front park I visit weekly. (The same bay walk park I mention in my cozy, Mango, Mambo, and Murder.) When I was young, I got the thrill of witnessing a sea turtle coming up for air by my dad’s fishing boat. It was amazing! But it wasn’t until last year that I got to see the amazing world UNDER THE BAY WATERS. The Coral City Camera live streams on their website and posts snippets on their Facebook page. The video below was captured during the full moon. It is such a treat to get a glimpse of the underwater world at night.
I love this ecologically minded project and I think you will too. Follow them and experience the aquatic life of Miami. Have you morning coffee with the sharks, dolphins, rays, octopus, eels, and parrot fish.
