Cheryl: A St. Pete St. Pat’s Bar Crawl

Cheryl: A St. Pete St. Pat’s Bar Crawl

I’m so excited to return to the Cozy Florida blog today. I missed it. I hope you did, too. This is an exciting week for St. Petersburg, FL. St. Patrick’s Day is fast approaching, and the bars, bistros, and eateries are getting ready. It wouldn’t be right if there wasn’t a bar crawl. In fact, there are a half-a-dozen of them starting on Saturday, March 12th and running through Sunday, March 20th.

Let’s follow one that happens on the actual St. Patrick’s Day. It starts from Park & Rec DTSP with check-in from 3pm-7pm. Tickets are $25 per person for FREE Cover at all locations, five FREE welcome shots, food and drink specials, raffle entry, bar games, and lots of fun. A $100 ticket includes admission for five people. What a great deal!

The second stop is Yard of Ale. This pub boldly claims to be St. Pete’s top craft beer destination. With over 20 craft and import drafts on tap along with 75 different bottled beers from around the world to choose from – they may have it right.

The next stop is one of my favorite brewpubs, Thirsty First. Since they opened, we’ve been stopping by here to enjoy their amazing tater tots. It is an American-style sports bar with a laser focus on fantastic food and drinks.

This next stop is my first choice for showing visitors the quirky bars on Central Avenue. Here’s my favorite quote: “As for downtown St. Pete’s party block, I think the Crafty Squirrel will fit right in. Lots of space, lots of drinks, a full kitchen, and a fun, upbeat vibe that’s a solid draw for the bar-hopping crowd.” Tampa Bay Times. My favorite newspaper loves my favorite quirky bar. How cool is that?

More bars will be added – even on the day. Just so you know, there are multiple ways to get around Downtown St. Pete and from bar to bar – scooters, bikes, walk, Uber, and Lyft.

So wear your green, pick up your ticket, order a green beer and explore St. Pete’s best bars.
