A cozy mystery is easily recognizable by its cover. There are certain things that scream I’m an enjoyable read. Often there is a pet on the cover. Usually the title is a play on words but other times it is a triplet. Rarely is there a dark and sinister feel to it. Even paranormal cozies have a fun feel to their cover art.
Why am I talking about covers? Well, because I just got the cover for my book! I was honored to have the reveal on Dru’s Book Musings. Thank you to everyone that left such nice comments.
Does my cover tick the cozy boxes? The calico kitten. Check. The alteration. Check. And then there is the spilled glass that let’s you know something is going to disturb the idyllic setting. While at the same time, the colors assure you it will all be ok in the end.
I hope the cover art makes you curious to find out more about my Cuban-American food anthropologist turned amateur sleuth story. The publication date for Mango, Mambo and Murder is October 12th 2021, but you can preorder it now.
